"Vinod, who belonged to Giridih in Jharkhand was wanted in connection with the murder of an associate of a transgender in Karawal Nagar. A reward of Rs 25,000 was declared on his head by Delhi police," Joint Commissioner (crime) of police Ravindra Yadav said.

Crime Branch was trying to nab him and a team had visited Jharkhand to gather information about him. On January 4, a tip-off was received that he would come to Khajuri Chowk to meet someone, the officer said.
