Projects worth Rs 10,000 crore launched in Har: Minister

The UPA government has launched projects worth Rs 10,000 crore in the state while the then NDA dispensation did not spend even a single penny, he told a 'Vikas Rally' here.

In a veiled attack on Team Anna, Joshi said two types of politics are being practised in the country -- one is being done at Jantar Mantar and the other by remaining among the people.

The country has witnessed various efforts to undermine the importance of democracy and Parliament, he said.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced a number of projects for the people of Jind to further accelerate the pace of development in the area.

 

Hooda launched projects worth Rs 1338 crore in Jind which included setting up of an Haryana Institute of Education, Training and Research, an industrial estate and a 200-bed hospital.

He also announced setting up of a Gymkhana Club at a cost of Rs 7.5 crore in Sector-9 here, industrial estate in an area of 250 acres of land, a city bus stand and a new bus stand in Jind.

Earlier, Joshi and Hooda laid foundation stones of various projects worth Rs 1,337.76 crore.

These included Jind-Sonipat railway line, four-laning of Jind section of National Highway No-71, four-lane Railway over Bridge over Delhi-Bathinda railway line crossing and construction of a link road between Jind-Safidon section and Jind-Rohtak road.
