According to police, one Chaman has lodged a complaint that his brother-in-law Pankaj was at his sector P III house.
While he was having a walk outside his house, unidentified armed men shot at him. He was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, police said.
The deceased is a resident of Chachula and does property dealing from P III house of Chaman.
Pankaj had a tiff with some persons at his native village over pradhan election.
DSP Alok Priyadarshi said today Chaman suspected some persons from the village to be behind the killing.
Police detained some persons for questioning, the DSP added.
