A 35-year-old property dealer and her driver were shot by four miscreants near Nand Nagar colony here, police said Thursday.
The incident occurred when Nitu Tripathi and her husband Piyush Tripathi were returning home in a Fortuner car on Wednesday night.
Four miscreants fired on the car but the driver, Sumit, did not stop. The assailants chased the car, fired over six bullets on the vehicle and fled the spot.
The bullets injured Nitu and Sumit, they said.
The driver somehow managed to drive the car and reached BHU trauma centre where their treatment was underway, the police said.
A case was registered and a man hunt launched to arrest the accused, they said.
