Proposals invited for planning infrastructure development in Gurgaon

Works to be undertaken include tubewell planning and designing and pipeline as well as canal-based supply of drinking water

Gurgaon Municipal Corporation on Saturday said it has invited proposals for empanelment of Consultants for planning and designing of infrastructure development like roads, water supply, storm water drainage, streetlight electrification and horticultural works.

A spokesman of the corporation said that the works to be undertaken include tubewell planning and designing and pipeline as well as canal-based supply of drinking water.

Under the scheme for sewerage, all works up to the stage of final disposal are to be undertaken. These would involve sewage treatment plants and recycling of treated water, he said.

Similarly, the works to convert underground pipeline network into open channels and disposal have been included in the design scheme for storm water drainage.
 

The designing of rainwater harvesting system, water body development and increase in present infrastructure services has also been included in these works, he said.

He said that the consultant would also be responsible for planning and designing of architecture and structural design of buildings and rejuvenation of ponds.

Apart from this, topographical survey of areas, colonies and villages would be carried out. This would also include railway line, canal, roads, streets, schools and 'chaupals', among other features.
