Having chiseled the look of an encounter specialist, always on the prowl, in Prosenjit Chattejee-starrer Force, ace fashion designer Agnimitra Paul says she was struck by the fastidiousness of Tollywood's superhero.

"My idea was not to accentuate the larger than life image of the superhero in Force. I had not done that in case of Mithunda (Mithun Chakroborty) as well in Shukno Lanka where I had designed his cotume," the ethnic-fusion trendsetter in contemporary fashion scene, told PTI here.

In 'Force' Prosenjit went for cotton linen shirts, with bluish shades during action scenes while, "I suggested he wear a more casual look in leisurely moments like driving with his autistic son or sharing frame with real and reel couple Arpita Chatterjee, Agnimitra, having also worked with Rajpal Yadav in 'Anta Anter Bongaon Local', said.

Agnimitra, who had also worked wth Sridevi years back for celebrity wear, said, "With the Bengali film industry tilting towards realistic genre, actors - be stars or performers - are not eying lavishly designed costumes to heighten their personality but more minimalist looks which go down well with their screen persona.

"The Force character will not be like the man on the street but a senior ranked officer who loves to party and push the trigger with equal elan. In Rajpal Yadav's attire as a cycle-rickshaw puller in suburbs I had designed his robes after carefully studying the mannerism, dress of such people.

In Shukno Lanka Mithunda had to resemble a struggling elderly junior artiste in Tollygunje. He can't be in the shoes of Disco Dancer or Prosenjit can't be in the shoes of Arun Chatterjee, the superhero in Autograph," Agnimitra, having also worked with Rituparna Sengupta, said.

Agnimitra worked with Prosenjit for the first time. Force, the production of Ideas of Prosenjit-Arpita, is directed by Raja Chanda dwelling on the relationship between a differently abled son and his senior cop father and the tender-humane influences on their lives of a lady teacher Arpita.
