Three branches of Andhra Bank came under stone pelting by miscreants today as protests against the gunning down of 20 woodcutters by Andhra Pradesh police, continued for the fourth day across Tamil Nadu.
Demonstrations, attempts to block train and burning of effigies of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu marked the protests by various organisations in different parts of the state seeking justice for the victims of the April 7 incident, police said.
The 20 from Tamil Nadu were gunned down by police and forest personnel in Seshachalam hill ranges in Chittoor district in an operation against red sanders smuggling.

A Coimbatore report said 20 workers of a fringe Tamil outfit were arrested in connection with the attack on the bank branch in Ramnagar locality, in which glass panes of a window was damaged.
The identity of the culprits was yet to be established in the other two places and investigations were on, police said.
A Tamil outfit staged a protest in front of the Andhra Club here and tried to burn an effigy of Naidu.
Lawyers of Madras High Court bench staged a protest in Madurai while advocates protested in various towns, including Usilampatti and Mettupalayam. Law students protested in Chengalpattu.
Volunteers of a Dalit outfit tried to block trains at Tiruttani which borders Andhra Pradesh.
Demonstrations were reported from across the state including Erode, Nagapattinam, Tiruvallur and Tiruvannamalai districts.
