Protest over power cuts in Noida

Protesting over power cuts, BJP Kisan Morcha today held a demonstration at sector 21A sub station and gave memorandum.

Morcha district president Chandgi Ram said unscheduled power cuts have caused inconvenience to residents.

In spite of the assurance for the last several years, the power distribution company was not able to supply 24x7 supply, he said.

Chotpur Colony residents complained that they were denied new power connections and jave alleged that officials demand bribe for new connections, he said.

On the other hand, if they use power without connection, they are booked for stealing power, Ram rued.

BJP Noida city president Manoj Gupta demanded replacement of old connections to residents of Chotpur and other colonies.
 

The protesting group gave the memorandum of demands to executive engineer Raghvendra.
