TDP MLAs and other leaders organised protests at the offices of power utilities in Hyderabad and elsewhere.

Claiming that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had "cheated" farmers on the promise of uninterrupted power supply for seven hours, senior TDP MLA, E Dayakar Rao, said he had submitted `a complaint' against Reddy to the police.

TRS MLAs called off their protest here this evening, after a demonstration at the headquarters of Andhra Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation (APTRANSCO) yesterday, from where they were taken to Bollarum Police Station in the city. They, however, continued their protest in the premises of the police station and relented after the Chief Minister held a press conference this evening and appealed to the protesting MLAs to stop the agitation.
