A group of people today blocked traffic on Jind-Rohtak national highway and Jind-Bhiwani road here protesting the failure of police to trace two women missing from their area two months back.

Residents of Ashram Colony blocked traffic on the roads demanding that the women be traced.

According to the protesters, Santosh, an anganwari worker, and an old woman Brahmi Devi had disappeared from their colony on November 8, 2013.

Traffic on Jind-Rohtak, Jind-Bhiwani and Jind-Hansi roads remained disrupted for about two hours due to the blockade.

Later, the protesters lifted the blockade after assurance by the police that missing women would be traced soon.
