"Raje is our leader and we would not tolerate statements against her," one of the protesters said.
Although the protesters claimed themselves be from BJP, they fled away from the spot on the site of party's office bearers.
"No BJP worker was involved in this demonstration," a party spokesperson said.
In an apparent jibe at Raje, Agrawal had yesterday said that the party was not synonymous with any leader.
"Towering leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L K Advani never made or promoted such workers who say that the party begins with A (Atal Bihari) and ends with A (Advani) but these days we hear that the party begins with 'V' and ends with 'V'," Agrawal had said.
