Protests continued in Tamil Nadu demanding India to boycott the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) scheduled in Sri Lanka from next month, in a bid to mount pressure on the Union Government.
A section of lawyers, college students and cadres of 'Puratchi Baratham' protested at various places denouncing the Centre for "dishonouring" the sentiments of the Tamils. Similar agitations were also reported from several other parts of the state.
The Tamil Nadu Assembly has adopted a resolution urging the Centre not to participate in the meet and various political parties have been vociferously making a similar demand.
