With plans to set up a CCTV network across the city, Noida Authority Chairman and CEO Rama Raman today said ensuring adequate security in the city was his top priority besides providing basic civic amenities to residents.

Addressing a press conference here, Raman said work was in progress towards posting security guards at all sector gates and establishing a CCTV network across the city.

Several RWAs have installed CCTV cameras at their complexes and have appointed private security guards. There is need for proper coordination between these private security guards and police officials, Raman said.

He said there were also plans to install CCTV cameras at markets, malls, shopping places and parking areas.

Other than security, Raman said traffic management was a major concern. "Traffic department will be made more active and auto rickshaw driver groomed to follow traffic rules and park vehicles in such a way that it does not obstruct the flow of traffic".

The CEO also promised to make the city encroachment free and directed the authority staff to hold regular encroachment removal drives.
