Prozone launches mall in Coimbatore

Prozone Intu, a specialist retail and residential-led mixed-use real estate development company, today launched a shopping mall of international standards in the city.

'Prozone Coimbatore,' designed by Bentel Architects from South Africa, is a ground plus one development of over five lakh sq.Ft and offer world class infrastructure, Prozone Intu Properties Managing Director Nikhil Chaturvedi told reporters here.

Built on 13 acres of 26 acres of land, at a cost of Rs 350 crore, the mall has the ability to provide something for every member of a family, Chaturvedi said.

Stating that the company's first mall at Aurangabad, built six years ago, has a footfall of nine million a year, Chaturvedi said he expected similar reception in Coimbatore, the second largest city in Tamil Nadu with lot of textile and automobile activities.
 

The mall will have a nine-screen INOX cineplex to provide an extraordinary movie watching experience, he said.

Besides, there will be a food court with a seating capacity of 600, catering to all tastes and budgets.

The company is also constructing 500 two to three bedroom apartments in the area at a cost of rs. 200 crore, which are expected to be ready in another 24 months, he said, adding another 700 units will be built in the near future.
