Psychotropic drugs seized

Psychotropic drugs worth Rs 16.50 crore were seized and two persons were arrested from Dhalai in Assam's Cachar district today, BSF sources said.

The drugs in the form of tablets weighing 660 kg were seized from a truck coming from Delhi to Moreh in Manipur for onward smuggling to China through Myanmar.

Two persons identified as Mujid Ahmed and Mobin were arrested from the truck and were being interrogated, the sources said.

The seizure was made by a joint team of Narcotics Control Bureau, Customs and BSF.
