Puthiya Tamizhakam president K Krishnasamy today urged the Centre and Tamil Nadu government to intervene and find a solution to the agitation by lawyers over the amendment to Advocates Act.

The agitation was intensified after Bar Council of India suspended 126 advocates without seeking any explanation, for participating in the strike, Krishnasamy told reporters here.

Urging the Centre and State governments to immediately intervene and put an end to the agitation and also revoke the suspension, Krishnasamy said efforts should also be made to see that the amendments were withdrawn.
