Haryana Cabinet today revised the fee to be charged for issuing PUC certificate and approved a proposal to amend Haryana Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993 (Pollution) to establish more pollution checking centres.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here, an official release said.
The revised rates of issuing Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates in respect of various vehicles will be on the pattern of Delhi.

As per the amendment, the PUC certificate will be issued by a Pollution checking centre authorized by the Transport Commissioner, an official release said here.
No premises will be used as a pollution checking centre unless valid authorisation has been obtained from the Transport Commissioner.
Transport Commissioner can charge a penalty of Rs 2,000 in case of violation of any of the terms and conditions of the grant of authorisation, the release said.
