Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy today said there are no permanent friends or foes in politics,
He stated this when asked by reporters here whether he and leader of the Opposition N Rangasamy had buried the hatchet as the latter had yesterday welcomed the AINRC leader's cooperation to get statehood for the Union Territory.
"Our concern is the development of Puducherry and welfare of the people. There are no permanent friends or enemies in politics," he added.
Narayanasamy said he would be glad if Rangasamy was present during all debates in the House so that there would be detailed discussion on people's issues.
Rangasamy was Chief Minister between 2011 and 2016. His party has eight members and is the main opposition in the 30-member Assembly.
