With mounting safety concerns in many states, Puducherry government today said Maggi samples have been sent for lab tests and follow up action would be taken based on the results.
"Samples of Maggi noodles have been sent for tests here and to Delhi. The results of the lab tests is expected to be available by evening today and depending on the findings the government would take follow up action," Chief Minister N Rangasamy told reporters here.
Director of Health and Family Welfare Services Dr Raman, who was also present, said nothing would be left to chance.

Nestle India has claimed it has got samples tested in an external laboratory as well as in-house and that the product was found "safe to eat".
