The wholesale pulses market ended on a mixed note today with prices of gram and urad moving up on increased buying by stockists, while rajmah and kabuli gram declined on muted demand.
Traders said pick-up in buying by stockists, driven by strong demand from retailers mainly led to the rise in gram and urad prices.
They said, however, easing demand against adequate stocks kept pressure on rajmah and kabuli gram prices.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality gained Rs 100 each to Rs 6,000-6,200,Rs 6,800-7,100 and Rs 7,200-7,300 per quintal, respectively.
Urad and its dal chilka also moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,700-7,600 and Rs 6,900-7,000 per quintal, respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 7,000-7,500 and Rs 7,400-7,600 per quintal.
On the other hand, rajmah chitra fell by Rs 200 to Rs 7,400-10,200 per quintal. Kabuli gram small variety also shed Rs 100 at Rs 9,700-10,000 per quintal.
