Pulses prices end steady in thin trade

There was not much activity on the wholesale pulses market today as prices moved in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.

Traders said adequate stocks position against sporadic demand mainly kept pulses steady.

Following are today's pulses rates per quintal:

Urad 3,800-4,600, Urad Chilka (local) 5,300-5,500, best 5,500-6,100, Dhoya 5,800-6,200, Moong 5,900-6,400, Dal Moong Chilka local 6,500-6,900, Moong Dhoya local 6,700-6,800 and best quality 7,300-7,400.

Masoor small 4,250-4,500, bold 4,450-4,550, Dal Masoor local 5,050-5,150, best quality 5,100-5,200, Malka local 5,100-5,200, best 5,300-5,400, Moth 4,250-4,550, Arhar 3,900-4,200, Dal Arhar Dara 5,600-5,800.

Gram 3,000-3,900, Gram Dal (local) 3,700-3,900, best quality 3,800-3,900, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,380, Rajdhani 1,380, Rajmah Chitra 7,300-11,000, Kabli Gram small 3,800-5,800, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,200-5,800, Peas white 2,900-2,950 and green 3,000-3,100.
