Pulses prices show both side movements

The wholesale pulses market remained mixed today as prices of arhar and urad drifted lower on ample stocks while kabuli gram and rajmah edged higher on scattered demand from retailers.

Traders said sufficient stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts mainly kept pressure on arhar and urad prices but some demand from retailers helped kabuli gram and rajmah to trade higher.

In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety fell by Rs 200 each to Rs 4,850 and Rs 6,700-8,500 per quintal respectively.

Urad and its dal chilka also declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,300-7,300 and Rs 6,600-6,700 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 6,700-7,200 and Rs 7,100-7,400 per quintal.
 

On the other hand, kabuli gram small variety and rajmah chitra went up by Rs 100 each to Rs 9,600-10,100 and Rs 7,200-9,900 per quintal respectively.

Urad Rs 6,300-7,300, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 6,600-6,700, Urad best Rs 6,700-7,200, Dhoya Rs 7,100-7,400, Moong Rs 5,100-5,300, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,600-5,800, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,200-6,700 and best quality Rs 6,700-6,900.

Masoor small Rs 4,950-5,100, bold Rs 5,000-5,200, Dal Masoor local Rs 5,300-5,800, best quality Rs 5,400-5,900, Malka local Rs 5,600-5,800, best Rs 5,700-5,900, Moth Rs 3,700-4,100, Arhar Rs 4,850, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 6,700-8,500.

Gram Rs 7,100-7,500, Gram dal (local) Rs 8,000-8,300, best quality Rs 8,400-8,500, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 3,300, Rajdhani Rs 3,300, Rajma Chitra Rs 7,200-9,900, Kabuli Gram small Rs 9,600-10,100, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 2,700-2,725 and green Rs 2,900-3,000.
