Press Trust of India Chandigarh
State-owned Punjab State Bus Stand Management Company (PUNBUS) today said it was carrying out a survey at major bus stands across the state to get passengers' feedback towards its bus services.

Responses and suggestions of over 40,000 commuters would be tabulated and analysed in this survey to pin-point the strengths and weaknesses of the organisation, an official spokesperson of the State Transport Department said.

Students of regional MBA institutes have been roped in for conducting the survey, he said, adding information about availability of buses, condition of bus stands, behaviour of drivers and conductors and the problems faced by the commuters was being sought.

He further said that these efforts of PUNBUS were part of an exercise to strengthen its presence and emerge as a consumer friendly and profitable state transport undertaking of the state.

PUNBUS will also introduce 305 ordinary buses and 24 super integral buses which are likely to be operational by December this year, the spokesperson said.
