Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray today said that residents of Pune would not mind his party's opposition to the concert of Pakistani singer Atif Aslam.

Aslam's concert in Pune was cancelled recently after Sena threatened to disrupt it.

Asked by reporters about the issue, Thackeray said the residents of Pune were "Indians first" and would not be upset over the party's stand.

He also sought to take credit for the scrapping of the controversial draft development plan for Mumbai.

"I am thankful to the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for scrapping this bizarre plan. We were the first to raise voice against it and later others started speaking against it," he said.
