MMCC College of Pune would represent the country in the Red Bull Campus Cricket World Series Championship finals in Sri Lanka in September.

The Pune college earned a berth to Lanka by defeating Rizvi College, Mumbai yesterday at Dehradun to emerge the India champions of the tournament, a media release said today.

The India finals were held from May 31 at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy ground in Dehradun featuring college teams from across the four different zones in the qualifier round.

Rizvi College won the toss and batted in the rain-hit summit clash that had to be cut short to a 5-overs a side game.
