Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today directed the officials to punish those involved in the June 29 lynching of a person in Ramgarh district through fast track court, an official release said.
Altogether 10 persons were arrested in connection with the incident, the release said.
Alimuddin Ansari, a meat trader, was allegedly beaten to death on June 29 by a mob at the Bazaar Tand area under Ramgarh police station on the suspicion that he was carrying beef in his car.
Forensic tests later confirmed that Ansari was indeed carrying beef, the sale of which is banned in the state.
