The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana has emerged overall champions in the 15th All India Agricultural University Sports and Games Meet, 2014 at the Assam Agricultural University (AAU)-Jorhat campus.
PAU emerged champions with 42 points in athletics and group events winning 16 gold, 6 bronze and 9 silver at the Meet that concluded yesterday.
University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bangalore, followed with 30 points bagging 9 gold, 7 bronze and 5 silver medals.
Hosts AAU bagged a gold and silver medal each.
The next 16th All India Agricultural University Sports and Games, 2015 will be held at Dr Bala Saheb Sawant Konkon Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli, in Maharashtra, said the Meet's sports committee coordinator Dr Sajib Barua here.
