State Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal moved the resolution urging Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal to condemn the incident of Joga villages of Mansa.

Speaker said yes to the resolution.

Carcasses of around 25 cows were found near a factory, about 175-kms from here, on June 9 which triggered a protest by locals, prompting the authorities to impose a curfew in the area.

Besides that, the Assembly also paid tributes to 14 people, including 11 freedom fighters and BJP MLA Amarjit Singh Sahi who died since the last sitting of the House.

The House also observed a two-minute silence in mark of respect to the departed souls.

Leader of Opposition Sunil Kumar Jakhar also urged the Speaker to include a resolution condoling the deaths of over 60 labourers in a building collapse at Jalandhar last month.

Later the House was adjourned for the day.
