The Bahujan Samaj Party today announced candidates for four parliamentary seats in Punjab ahead of the general elections scheduled next year.

The party has fielded Bhagwan Singh Chouhan from Hoshiarpur, Ram Kumar Prajapati from Ferozepur, Jarnail Singh Kamboj from Patiala and Sucha Singh Mann from Khadoor Sahib, BSP national general secretary Narendar Kashyap said.

Among the four candidates, two are from the SC and as many from the backward class, he added.

"We are expecting early Lok Sabha polls and that is why we have started gearing up for the same," he said.

Stating that the party will contest on all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab, Kashyap ruled out possibility of forging alliance with any party during Lok Sabha polls.

BSP had failed to win a single seat in last Lok Sabha elections in Punjab.
