Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today assured the industry of providing basic amenities like uninterrupted power supply and addressing their issues in the new industrial policy to be released soon.
After meeting an industry delegation, the chief minister directed the chief secretary to ensure that demands and grievances of the industry are addressed in the new industrial policy, an official release said.
Amarinder met a delegation of Patiala Industrial Estate Welfare Society which apprised him of pending demands.

Acceding to the demand to put up a large industrial plant in Patiala, Amarinder Singh said that he personally got a positive response from industry captains like Tatas, Ambanis, Mahindras and several others during his recent visit to Mumbai, and they had evinced keen interest in setting up industrial ventures in the state.
