Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today released a Punjabi book titled 'Alharh Umran Talakh Sunehe', penned by IPS Officer Gurpreet Singh Toor, based on his experiences with drug addicts.

The book is based on Toor's personal experience and interactions, especially with the youth involved in drug cases, during his various field postings in the police department.

Toor said he wrote this book with the objective of creating awareness against drug abuse.

Lauding the unique initiative of the senior police officer, the chief minister hoped that the book would inspire the youth who had fallen prey to drugs to lead a normal life with self-respect and dignity.
