In a setback to Congress in Punjab, party's former district youth president (urban) Dimple Rana today joined Shiromani Akai Dal (SAD) here along with his supporters.

Jagdish Singh Jassowal, state secretary of Bahujan Samaj Party also joined the SAD today in presence of party president Sukhbir Singh Badal.

Welcoming Rana and Jassowal in the SAD fold, Badal said "Daily exodus of leaders proved there was no future of Congress in Punjab and SAD would register huge victories from all 13 Lok Sabha seats in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections."

Dimple Rana said he was quitting Congress in disgust and he did not fit into the "five star culture" of some PPCC leaders.
