Punjab government has put the industrial reforms on fast track in order to expedite ease of doing business in the state.

Such reforms will enable companies to invest in the state on a single window and also in a hassle free manner, an official spokesman said here today.

The progress of all the industrial reforms promised during the recent Progressive Punjab Summit by Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal was reviewed in detail by Chief Secretary Sarvesh Kaushal here.

While reviewing the progress of reforms being undertaken by Excise and Taxation Department, the Chief Secretary asked Financial Commissioner Taxation to clear the complete VAT refund backlog by January 31, 2016.

To enable transparent and effective interaction of industrialists with the Government, Excise and Taxation Department was asked to make C form, F form and H Form online in all the districts by February 28 after successful pilot project in Mohali.

Excise Department will also develop an online portal for monitoring its Quasi-judicial cases to improve transparency, he said.

The state will take all necessary steps and all departments will work in coordination to promote "ease of doing business in the state," said Kaushal.

The Chief Secretary was informed that all the preparatory work related to the provision of Self Certification and third party annual inspection of boilers has been completed and final notification will be issued soon after legal vetting.

After these notifications, no boiler inspector or electrical inspector shall visit the industry unless requested for annual inspection by Industry.
