Punjab Governor and Administrator of Union Territory of Chandigarh V P Singh Badnore today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his office in South Block, the first one after his appointment to the gubernatorial post.
While the visit was termed as a "courtesy visit", it lasted around 15 minutes and Badnore is learnt to have discussed some issues pertaining to UT Chandigarh's development.
Badnore was appointed as Governor of Punjab on August 17 and formally took oath on August 22. He also holds the additional charge of Administrator of Union Territory of Chandigarh.
He was a former Rajya Sabha MP and hails from Bhilwara, in Rajasthan. He has also been a former legislator in Rajasthan as also a Minister and a Lok Sabha MP.
