These permits would be provided under the Mata Gujri Seva Punjab Motor and Maxi Cab Scheme-2011 to link the villages with the cities, spokesman of the state transport department said today.
Applications had been already invited for the operations of Motors on the 84 routes in Bathinda and 25 routes in Mansa, he said.
He said that permits would not be allotted to the Government or semi-Government employees.
The educated unemployed youths would be given priority for the allotment of permits, he said.
