Punjab govt announces 7% DA for employees

The Punjab government today announced seven per cent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) payable to employees and pensioners of the state.

The new rate of DA would be 107 per cent of basic pay or pension against 100 per cent earlier, Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa said here today.

The DA would be paid with effect from March 2015, the Minister said in a statement.
