Punjab govt assures U'khand flood victims of all help

Punjab government today assured the flood victims and people of Uttarakhand of all help, support and assistance in the wake of unprecedented natural calamity, an official spokesman said.

In an emergency meeting here today, the Punjab Cabinet, which was chaired by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, expressed condolences, sympathies and solidarity with the thousands of affected families and said the government and the people of state would stand by them and no stone will be left unturned to ensure their safety, relief and rehabilitation.

The meeting also appreciated the proactive role of Army, ITBP, NDRF and other security forces besides local residents of Uttarakhand for showing exemplary courage with missionary zeal to save lives of people.
 

The meeting also lauded the contribution of state government to help the people of Uttarakhand rebuild their lives.

The meeting also appreciated all officials and employees including the teams stationed at Rishikesh and Joshi Math for discharging their duties in this hour of crisis with the sense of utmost dedication, sincerity and devotion.
