Punjab government today banned transfer and posting of officials in all the departments with immediate effect.
An official spokesman said that instructions in this regard have been issued to all Financial Commissioners, Administrative Secretaries, Heads of the departments, Commissioners of the Divisions, Deputy Commissioners and Sub Divisional officers (Civil) for immediate compliance.
The government has cited no reason behind the directive.
