Punjab govt earmarks Rs 256.74 cr for age old pension

The Punjab government has earmarked Rs 256.74 crore for providing old-age pension and other financial assistances to the beneficiaries for the financial year 2017-18.

Social security and women and child development minister Razia Sultana today said old age pension to the tune of Rs 500 per month has already been given to the beneficiaries till October 2016.

She said instructions to all the district social security officers have been passed to put online the bills of old-age pension for the months of November and December 2016.
