The initiative of paperless working would be extended to district, tehsil and block offices and the public offices in the whole state would become paperless in coming two years, an official spokesman said.
Written instructions have been issued to strictly implement the IWDM system, he said, adding that employees can also forward their leave applications through this online system.
He said all Special Secretaries, Secretaries and Private Secretaries of Ministers, Private Secretaries of all the Principal Secretaries, Private Secretaries and Personal Assistants of Special Secretaries, Under Secretaries and Superintendents of Punjab Civil Secretariats-I and II have been asked to make online functioning of their respective departments under IWDMS.
It has also been instructed that employees must apply for earned leave through this online system.
