The Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal gave assurance to a deputation of farmers led by general secretary of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Prem Singh Chandumajra that all their grievances would be redressed on priority.

The issues involve width of passages, laying of irrigation water pipes, demarcation of land of farmers whose land was acquired by Nabha Power Limited for the construction of railway line to the under construction Thermal Power plant at Rajpura.

Badal asked the technical committee which also includes technical advisor to chief minister BS Dhaliwal, representatives of Revenue, Irrigation and Drainage departments, besides the representatives of farmers to review the situation at the earliest.
