Punjab government today launched a project aimed at improving the general knowledge of students in state-run schools.
The 'Udaan' project, which would educate students about current affairs and prepare them for competitive exams, has been launched in 1,082 schools for Classes 6 to 12, an official spokesman said here today.
Punjab government has already started training staff from 445 schools with an eye on the project while employees of 422 more schools are to be covered in the second phase, he added.
