Mittal said right from PWD, Irrigation Department, Municipal Corporation, Electricity Department and many other departments were given specific tasks for upkeep and maintenance of Focal Points, but the work was suffering due to lack of coordination between different agencies.

The SPV route, all allottees of Focal Point IV of Ludhiana have been made stakeholders and it would be collective responsibility of SPV to maintain their own focal point, the Industries Minister said.

He said that according to the notification issued under Common Infrastructure (Regulation and Maintenance) Act 2012, Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce would be the appellate authority of SPV and General Manager District Industry Center in the respective district would be the competent authority.
