Punjab govt prepares plan to promote tourism

To promote tourism in the state, the Punjab government has prepared a comprehensive tourism development plan to link six historical cities.

Under the Mega Darbar Circuit project, six historical cities Amritsar, Sangrur, Kapurthala, Nabha, Fardikot and Malerkotla would be linked, an official spokesman said today.

Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board aims to develop the circuit by preparing a comprehensive conservation and tourist infrastructure, he said.

The Board has invited tenders from consultants for comprehensive development of mega darbar circuit in Punjab.
