Punjab Govt sanctions Rs 10 crore for Focal points

The industrial Focal Points and parks would be set up under the Public-Private partnership to accommodate small and medium units.

The Special Purpose Vehicle would also be set up to ensure quality infrastructure and facilities in all Focal Points through at the state.

Besides that the Punjab government has also issued notification for the Punjab Common Infrastructure (Regulation and Maintenance) Act 2012 with an aim to uplift the basic infrastructure in all Focal Points, said Anil Joshi, Punjab Industry and Commerce Minister.

The Minister said that the Punjab Government has made necessary changes in the Act to attract the private players for the maintenance of Focal Points.

 

He said that with the money facility of roads, street lights, water supply, sewerage connections, Garbage treatment plants would be provided in Focal Points.

The minister said that to improve the condition of Focal Points, the SAD-BJP Government led by chief minister has taken many initiatives, so that the target of Rs 1 lakh crore investments could be met.
