Punjab govt seek information of employees on 'foreign jaunts'

Punjab Government today asked all its departments to furnish the information regarding those employees, who have proceeded on "Ex-India Leave" and those who have possessed Permanent Residency of a foreign country.

Disclosing this here, an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Department said that a written instruction in this regard have been issued to all heads of the departments.

Divulging the detail of the information sought by the Government, he said departments have been instructed to report all such cases where an employee has taken three months 'Ex-India leave' and subsequently extended it for more than three years, without any break.
 

Similarly, information regarding all those government employees have also been sought, who have possessed Permanent Residency/Green Card of some foreign country, he said.

The spokesperson said that the senior officers of all the departments have been directed to personally examine the passports of all such employees before furnishing the information.
