Punjab govt to construct three new ROBs: Minister

Punjab government has approved the construction of three new Road Over Bridges (ROBs) which would start in the month of October this year.

Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, minister for Public Works department said the ROBs would be constructed at the cost of Rs 94.18 crore and would be built in Malwa region of the state in Malerkotla on Raikot Road, Gobindgarh and Northern bypass Patiala.

Dhillon said all three ROBs are expected to be completed within 18 months.

He said construction work of Kapurthala ROB is in progress with an estimated cost of Rs 34 crore and target has been fixed to complete this project by December, 2014.
