Punjab govt to launch anti-drug campaign in schools

A two-day campaign would be held in government, private and aided schools and colleges of the state to make students aware about the disastrous effects of drugs, an official spokesman said here today.

Usage of drugs is effecting health of people, especially youth in the state, he said.

Block Education Officers and Principals of all schools would be roped in to carry out the campaign in their respective institutions, the spokesman said.

Besides, lecture by experts on the issue, poster making, slogan and poem writing competitions will be held on November 19.

All institutions would take out rallies on November 20 to further spread awareness on the issue, he said.

 

All schools would function as per daily routine after the rallies, the spokesman said.
