The Punjab government today said it will launch e-stamping system for registration of land deeds by mid-October.
It was stated by Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal who directed all divisional commissioners and deputy commissioner to roll out e-stamping next month.
All deeds and land registrations above Rs 50,000 would be made under e-stamping system, he said.

"Required training to the users as well as staff of sub- registrar officers and other concerned officers will also be imparted," he said.
Deputy CM said that stamp certificate could be generated within minutes which would be tamper proof.
Terming it cost savings and user friendly, he said that e-stamp certificates would have a unique identification number and its authenticity could be checked any time anywhere.
Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia asked DCs of SAS Nagar, Jalandhar and Bathinda to make sure the necessary arrangements and requisite infrastructures for launching of e-stamping on pilot basis.
Meanwhile, Badal in Roopnagar said the state government will prepare a comprehensive plan to save crops from wild animals in Kandi areas of Roopnagar and Hoshiarpur districts.
Besides, he also announced to provide barbed wires on subsidised rates to farmers for fencing around their fields.
After laying the foundation stone of Maharaj Lal Das Brahma Nand Bhurri Wale Community Health centre at Village Jhandiyan, Badal said farmers of Kandi belt were facing major trouble form wild animals especially pigs that damages crops.
Answering a query about the preparations of Shiromani Akali Dal for the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana, Deputy CM said SAD is geared up to wipe out Congress led state government.
He further said SAD candidates from Ambala and Kalanwali assembly constituencies would be announced in next 2 days.
