The minister said state government has also asked the concerned officials to identify important routes for construction of new roads along the canals.
He informed that the government has executed the construction work on some prominent routes including Ropar-Neelon-Doraha canal-side.
Noting that the department had received complaints of wrong reports against its quality control wing, Dhillon said the wing, from now, will ensure final checking of roads and building projects within six months of its construction.
The Minister said the state government has ordered buying of modern equipments to check the quality of roads and buildings.
